Wool necklace

For a more interesting take on handmade jewelry, here are some necklaces made out of wool. I love the imagination and creativity these artists put into their art. I would have never thought of creating these.

Handmade white wool and beads. Also comes with a handmade cotton bag for safekeeping.

This is piece is amazing. The colors of the wool go perfectly together with the wire.

I'm now making these beautiful little felted wool beads in all kinds of colors! This one is a wonderful orange-gold combination which is perfect with the copper wire beads which I've formed. Also available in yellow/green and royal blue. The necklace is 18" long and has a hook and eye closure. Nine beads.I can change the length if you will let me know what you prefer.

This artist gives us a glimpse on how to wear wool necklaces. They are casual, but at the same time chic and wow-popping.

The necklace begins with a plait of about 23 cm (9 inch) and splits into three branches on where the orange hand-felted pearls are set.

Collar necklace

I love the new trend of collar necklaces also called Peter Pan necklace. I tried to include in this collection a variety styles and materials. The first necklace is made of embroidered flowers in a peach color.

I love teal and this necklace would be a wonderful statement to any outfit.

Beautiful shape!
nique Peter Pan collar necklace made in a one of a kind way. Each shape is carefully hand-sawn as shown on the last picture. It is high polished and 14kt gold micron plated. The chain, jump ring, extension chain and clasp are in 14kt gold filled.

My absolute favorite necklace! I love the details and the shape of it.

Lace collar neckace! I have one that is similar to this. It is gorgeous, but very dressy, so will be able to wear it only on special occasions.

embrace the classic, retro style of this peter pan style collar hand-painted in rich metallic gold and accented with what was once a vintage earring.

Made in a solid piece of metal.

Friday Feature - OOAKjewelz

Karin van Rijn is the owner and designer of One of a Kind Jewelry design. She creates exquisite designs that I just odore. While writing and researching her shop for this article, I noticed that one of my favorite items in her shop is on sale. So I did some impulse buying. I will keep you posted on my purchase. I've actually purchased from her shop before: a gift for a friend and had a great experience. The item arrived in a timely fashion, communication was great and the bracelet beautiful.

Her designs are all very different. Some are subtle with a romantic feminine touch and others are more extravagant with a lot of sparkle and shine.

A stunning repurposed piece of vintage jewelry, this charming bridal haircomb, made with some lovely vintage elements, combined with some new ones.

The detail of these earrings is amazing.

The flower is gorgeous, I love how the whole bracelet is built around it.

I bought something similar for my friend.

Made with some vintage and non-vintage stuff, like some vintage salmon coloured lucite flowers, vintage pearls, mint green flower cabochons, a real vintage black and white flower earring, a vintage faux pearl button and a tiny dainty ivory white vintage flower.

And something similar to this, I bought for myself.
This cute shabby chic pastel mint vintage collage bracelet is made with a beautiful vintage mint green flower cluster earring with tiny little pearls.

About

I am a wife, a mother to two beautiful girls, but also a woman obsessed with jewelry and this is my creative outlet. For a jewelry obsessed person, you would be surprised to hear that I don't own that many jewelry pieces. That's when I realized that I am a very picky shopper. I created this blog to help fellow picky shoppers and to provide them with a selection of carefully chosen items. I don't feature on my blog jewelry that I wouldn't buy myself.
